The renovation project at the formerly condemned Medina Farmers Exchange facility at 320 S. Court St. has been a labor of love for Charles Marshall, president of Beacon Marshall Cos.
Some might of thought Marshall was crazy to take on such an endeavor, given the state of disrepair in which he found the building. However, when he looked at it, Marshall knew he had to do something. He ended up applying for and receiving Ohio Historic Preservation Tax Credits for the project.
Marshall discovered the building remained a solid structure, despite it having been condemned. So, Marshall and the Beacon Marshall Cos. team (which includes EM Construction, Marshall Construction and MCC Design) and its subcontractors began the process of giving new life to the iconic building that had been a hub of activity in Medina’s South Town area.
Today, Beacon Marshall is receiving awards and recognition for the preservation work done. And, Marshall appreciates the partners that made the project possible and the video work Armstrong Cable did in chronicling the life of the project.
So, enjoy these videos from Armstrong and see for yourself how the Farmers Exchange project progressed.
